Located in the beautiful rural hamlet of Eaton in the heart of Cheshire and overlooking the Peak District National Park, The Plough Inn offers you the perfect place to eat, drink and stay.

Whether you visit us to eat, have a drink, stay with us or hold your wedding reception here, you will receive a warm welcome and excellent hospitality.

The Plough is licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies and we can we cater for weddings large and small in our beautiful barn.

We had our wedding at The Plough Inn on May Bank Holiday weekend and we absolutely LOVED our day. Ourselves and our guests enjoyed every minute and from the moment of arrival we just knew we had made the right choice. A huge thank you to all staff - the wedding planning team are experts at what they do, from answering your questions, responding to emails and organising planning meetings in the run up to your day; all the way to the day itself which they run perfectly - leaving you able to enjoy a stress-free relaxed day where you can trust the team and live in the moment. We wanted to be the chilled out go-with-the-flow couple on our wedding day and they made this possible. Forever grateful for that. The kitchen staff create the most beautiful food. From canapés to perfectly cooked beef and the BEST sticky toffee pudding! Even in a heat wave!! The venue itself is stunningly beautiful and their recommended suppliers can be trusted to personalise it to your style. This being said, it’s not a venue that requires loads of expensive decor. It’s so lovely already that simple touches are enough. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Plough as a wedding venue or venue for any special occasion. Our guests loved our day as much as we did and many remarked that the staff were brilliantly attentive and lovely. Many of them are planning to return for a meal because they enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much. If you are looking for your venue - it’s here!!

We booked The Plough for our wedding day in March this year, after initially viewing the barn in February 2025. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and we liked how the barn had its own bar, toilets and entrance for the wedding guests. They had a list of recommended suppliers which we went with for a few aspects of the wedding, which is great if you don't live nearby as it saves the hassle of searching for suppliers. We also had a few meetings with the team leading up to the day, which were helpful and allowed us to ask any questions we had. The team that managed the room bookings were also extremely helpful, as we had quite a few last minute room changes, but nothing was too much hassle for them. The rooms were lovely and clean/tidy, and we were even allowed in a few of them earlier than the early check ins which was great. On the day the team were brilliant, everything ran so smoothly. Two of the wedding coordinators were regularly visiting the Bridal suite to make sure we had everything we needed. A special shout out to Kathryn and Rebekah, they made us feel at ease throughout the day and they were both so lovely. Our favourite moment of the day was straight after the ceremony. We were handed a couple of drinks and asked to stand behind a curtain to have 5 minutes to ourselves while the guests were moved outside for photos. This little touch was amazing as it is such a busy day, it was nice to have 5 minutes to ourselves! Thank you all for your efforts in putting together such a wonderful day, we would not hesitate to recommend you in the future!

Can't say about the rooms, but I usually take pictures of food and this time I didn't - just dove straight on because it looked so good. Had the cheese pie, incredible. The red wine gravy was fantastic! Super friendly service, great atmosphere and outside are was really clean and modern. Will be back to try the other 300 things on the menu that sounded delicious 🤤

We have just had our wedding at the Plough and cant rate it high enough. Nothing was any trouble, they looked after us so we'll...in the run up and on the day. The wedding planners were excellent, walked us through the process as answered questions quickly. We were very impressed. The catering was of a high standard, the Barn an excellent venue and so accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable..the beds especially so. The Loft is a brilliant addition and fully furnished for the best wedding prep area. Everyone commented on the venue and we would definitely choose this again...perfect Thanks so much Jo and Team x

Fantastic service. Friendly staff. We attended 3 times as a family of 4, and everyone enjoyed the food (that says a lot with my family 😂) Portion sizes were brilliant. If we didn’t live so far I would 100% return. Definitely recommend.
